Special Update for this Weekend, Oct 24-Nov 1

Friends, Pastor Jeff was directly exposed to COVID-19 this week as one of his children tested positive. Jeff and the rest of his family underwent testing, and the results came back negative. However, they will be quarantining based on CDC guidelines.

We also learned of four positive COVID-19 cases amongst our members. Each person is currently following CDC guidelines to prevent further spread. We believe there has been very minimal exposure to our church at large with the extra precautions being taken to social distance and wear masks each week during our service. As of Oct 28, we have learned that two of those cases are recovering very well. Please continue to pray for the other two as their recovery has been a bit slower. We have not discovered any further cases at this time.

Our staff is currently monitoring their health and taking extra precautions to prevent exposure to themselves or anyone else.

We have done our best to consider all the facts and seek wisdom and counsel from trusted health professionals. Our Pastors, Elders, and staff have talked and prayed about the following decisions:

Sunday Service will be held as usual at Cheyenne Middle School and will be live-streamed. However, we are taking the following precautions to be on the safe side for the next couple of weeks:

  • Kindergarten – 5th classes will be closed.
  • Nursery and Pre-K classes will be open.
  • Pastor Jeff will not attend service (Chace Ifland and Christ Clark will preach in his stead)
  • We strongly encourage anyone who is at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 or at risk of complications due to possible infection to stay home and join us via Live Stream.
  • We ask everyone who decides to attend any of our weekend gatherings to monitor their health closely before attending. Please stay home if you have any of the listed symptoms.

All other smaller gatherings (Small Groups, RSM) will carry on as planned with the following precautions:

  • We strongly encourage anyone who is at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 or at risk of complications due to possible infection to stay home and join us via Live Stream.
  • We ask everyone who decides to attend any of our weekend gatherings to monitor their health closely before attending. Please stay home if you have any of the listed symptoms.

Please pray for those who are currently fighting the virus and pray for no further spread. Let’s do our best to care for one another during this time and to remain confident in Christ’s presence with us as we navigate these days.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Pastor Jeff or Pastor Chris.
