So That Others May Live…

Mark 10:45 says that Jesus “came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” We summarize the verse this way: Jesus came to serve and give so that others may live.” As we grow in our walk with Jesus, we discover that this is also how we really live. So, we want to serve and give so that others may live. We want to love our neighbors and invite them into life with Jesus and his family.

As a way to help us keep this vision for life in front of us, we are creating a “So That Others May Live…” wall, which will be open to you each Sunday in our worship gathering space. Each time you add a name to the wall, we believe this encourages us all and helps us spur one another on to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).

Here’s what we want you to do when you stop by the wall:

  1. Take a By Name Card
This card is a reminder to pray each day for specific people “by name.”
  2. Take an Invite Card
Keep invite cards handy so that you can pass them along with a personal invitation to join you at Redemption Church.
  3. Write on the Wall the name(s) of those you are praying for
There is freedom to be yourself: add more names to the wall each week if you want, use first names only if that seems best, write big or small, add a prayer or a bible verse, write creatively, or draw a picture that depicts your heart and hopes for this person.

Who are the “others” you know who need to know deep life with Jesus and his family? Who are the “others” that stir your heart to serve and give more?
