Steps to Reopening

As we navigate the coming months, we want to be as clear as we can about our plans to move toward reopening our public gatherings. The following plan lays out 3 steps that we are holding loosely as we monitor the continuing changes and updates from our city leaders.

Step 1 (May)
During May, we will continue with our online worship gatherings. We are asking our Redemption Groups to continue to gather in whatever format they feel comfortable (Zoom meetings or in person.) If groups decide to meet in person, we are suggesting gathering outdoors in a back yard or a park. The most exciting part of step 1 is our All-Church Outdoor Gathering scheduled for May 31st. We will gather for a time of fellowship, worship, updates, encouragement, and food. In all of this, we are asking everyone to follow all recommended health guidelines and to engage with in-person gatherings only as you feel comfortable.

Step 2 (June)
During June, we will be shifting gears slightly. We will continue our online gathering but with Watch Parties. We will pause our series on the Life of David and begin a 4-week series, entitled “Scattered Together,” focusing on the importance of community in the life of the church. We are excited about the month of June and the ability to gather in homes or larger spaces to watch and participate in online worship gatherings. Our Student Ministry will also have a couple of gatherings during June. Again we will ask everyone to follow all recommended health guidelines and engage only as you feel comfortable.

Step 3 (July)
During July, we hope to begin gathering back in our space at Cheyenne Middle School. We will have Family Worship on July 7th and will assess our ability to open Kids ministry as the month progresses. All ministries will be released to gather in person at this point as well. We will continue filming our service and making them available for those who are unable to attend in-person gatherings or do not yet feel comfortable doing so.

We are keeping up with the State and City updates and recommendations and may need to adjust these plans as required. Please be flexible, and let’s remember to outdo one another in showing honor and grace during this season. We love you and can’t wait to begin meeting in person in these various ways soon!
