Taking Responsibility for What You Can, Trusting God With What You Can't

The Life of David

Reflections on David and Saul from 1 Samuel 10, 13, 14, 15, 16.

From Series: "The Life of David "

Every life tells a story. David’s is extraordinary. It is extraordinary because he is called “a man after God’s own heart.” It is extraordinary because he is a warrior, poet, songwriter, shepherd, king, leader. And it is extraordinary because he is a broken man who walks through betrayal, moral failure, marriage issues, parenting fiascos, and leadership breakdowns. We track with David through his teenage years in obscurity, his rise to power, his dysfunctional family life, and his passionate love for God. In this series, we will see God's faithfulness through it all, and how the life of David points us to our great Shepherd-King Jesus Christ.
